Correct, more than "some assembly required" to install the Carrera coilovers on our Saturns. You must weld on the snap ring that supports the threaded collar. And I had to open up the mounting holes for the bottom two strut bolts. Personally I think both of these thing should be done by the manufacturer, considering the cost of the unit. But I wasn't bothered cause I have access to the tools to do this. As far as buying them directly, I bought spare parts from them directly. And the sales rep said complete sets could be bought directly too. This was a few months ago, so maybe they changed their selling ways since then.
Tom Check their website ... I don't have it here at work. It's the generic number for Carrera. ;-) You won't be able to order directly from them .... but they'll set ya up with a reseller. Just be warned ... "some assembly required" doesn't quite cover the amount of work I had to do to make them fit on the car. These are not direct bolt on replacements. I think this is one of the reasons SPS stopped selling them ... the regular do it your-self'er wouldn't be able to do these.
