I have installed HP Racing, Weapon R's and Ground Control coilovers on
various types of cars. Of the three I have installed the Weapon R's had a
dual spring set up. That is the only difference that I know of. Aside from
the name stamped on the spring I couldn't tell any difference. They all use
aluminum threaded spools with plastic inserted to keep the spool centered
and use set screws to lock then into place (try to lock into place that is).
If you are looking for a performance suspension then don't get any of these
coilovers. They are for show only (IMO). Every car I have installed these
coilovers on looked good but road like crap. But then again most of these
people wanted to use the stock struts (this is not the best idea). So they
basically they look good but ride bad (IMO) Want performance get the
Carrera (I have, an know they rock, but are $$$$) or the Progress which I
have no experience with.
