I have a bunch of pieces painted in my car... It wasn't hard at all, most of
them just popped out with a screwdriver. Wash them well, LIGHTLY sand them
so the paint will stick a bit better, coat them with primer, paint them
whatever color you like, let them dry and then clear coat them so they are
easier to clean. Mine were out of the car for a couple of days while I was
doing this, but they came out well. It's been about 3 years since I have
painted them and with the exception of the cupholders all are holding up
well.
