"Stealth" dipole is relative...  try finding a ten dollar bill fifty feet
off the side of the road,  in an area of 100,000+ square miles, a half wave
dipole made of black or tan #16 wire isn't going to be found by anyone.
Many are just laying on top of rocks at high elevations, some are strung
between yucca trees and can't even be seen 300 feet away, let alone from a
dusty dirt road four miles away... The biggest problem seems to be wild
animals damaging the equipment, walking through antennas, stepping on
electronics, etc..
