Evidently someone going by "KUMD" posted info on them now and then on a pirate radio discussion group. The info on the spynumbers website is possibly out of date as the most recent note is a year or so old. They look like something it would be just fun to do, and they're not really harming anything. It certainly wouldn't be difficult to make something like that be "lost" in the desert - there's an awful lot of territory out there.
