Twenty-five years ago I was given a Minolta SRT 201 as a gift and I still have that body as a back up. Since then, I've upgraded to an X-700 and experimented with a number of lenses but settled on Minolta-brand fixed focal-length lenses. Most of these, I bought second had and have not a any problems. My list of lenses (and I usually take all of them with me, even when I travel on the motorcycle):
19mm f9.5 (circa 1940's I'm told) 35mm f1.8 50mm f1.4 85mm f1.7 135mm f2.8 200mm f4 300mm f4.5 The only other one I'd like to have is a 24mm lens. At work, I have my body and three *basic* lenses (35, 50 or 85, and 135) with me in my grip. A few of the engineers I've worked with question my sanity when I pull out my camera to grab a shot. I will not, however, stage my own photo run-by's...
