I figured I better drop a line on the equipment I use. Not a whole lot, but it is a effective.
Bodies: Canon EOS-1, Canon EOS-1n (currently out-of-service) Lenses: Canon 80-200 f2.8L, Tokina 28-70 f2.6-2.8 "Pro", Canon 50 f1.8, Tamron 2x teleconverter Tripod: Bogen 3121 w/ Foba Mini-Superball w/Stoboframe Quick Release Monopod: Bogen Automatic (don't know number) Flash: Canon 430 EZ with a Quantum Battery 1 Meter: Minolta Flash Meter IV That pretty much sums it up. I usually keep the same film in both bodies, to use with each lens. Occasionally, I will have two different types of film, but most of the time not. I can either shoot one train with two different focal lengths, or it is easy to go for grab shots, w/o switching lenses. Typically, I shoot in two different scenarios. One: Pre-palnned shot, set on tripod, meter with hand-held meter, manual focus. Two: Grab shot, with monopod or freehand, metering mode on camera set to shutter-priority, and autofocus. The first method is the preferred method, for reasons that generally are obvious. Even though my bag has grown somewhat, I like the fact that I can still take my whole set-up with me just about everywhere, without too much hauling. The 50 mm lens rarely gets used, so most of the time, I am just shooting with two lenses, and the teleconverter. Of course the flash doesn't get used much, except for fill flash, or night time stuff. Well, that's about it, any questions? Next tutorial, the infamous, I-left-my-gear-at-home-aphobia.
