I use a Quantum Turbo battery made by Quantum Instruments which is a
lead-acid battery and can be charged at any time because it has no charge
memory. I use it with Nikon SB-25 and SB-26 flash units and I get very
close to instant recycle time for hundreds of flash bursts. The Quantum
Turbo is small enough to wear on your belt or on a small shoulder strap. I
like the performance of the Turbo battery for field photography, but if an
electrical outlet is nearby, I still prefer my Speedotron gear.
