This works in most Windows programs: 1. Make sure <Num Lock> is ON. 2. Hold down the <Alt> key and while doing so, type 0169 on the numeric keypad. 3. Release the <Alt> key. Result: You should have a © in the currently selected font. You can create most special symbols this way, if you know their numeric values -- and assuming the font contains that symbol. To find numeric values, go to your Start icon and make the following menu selections: Start > Programs > Accessories > Character Map. This displays a window with the full character sets of each font. For commonly used symbols, such as the copyright symbol, it's fairly easy to remember the numeric values. Hope this helps.
