Gary Zuters' current February SOTM now has a full text description along
with it.

I 'broke in' the new Polaroid Sprintscan Plus last night on web projects.
I started by scanning some images that would have been nearly impossible to
reproduce accurately with my old Nikon Coolscan LS-10, (with its more
limited optical density, it did not reproduce shadows and darker areas as
well). Greg Anderson's beautifully backlit signal bridge shots and a
harshly sunlit hazy midday shot that were reproduced as true to the
original slides as possible on a computer screen. I am pleased with the
results. More SPORRS Member's images to come to the SPORRS web site soon.
I still need caption information on many, which is holding them up. If you
sent me slides without caption info, please contact me. Thanks.

You guys can provide more text information with your images if you want to
(there's room). I try to avoid posting shots without captions or
descriptions.

If any of you are in the market for a new film scanner, I would highly
recommend the Polaroid Sprintscan line of 35mm film scanners. I have the
Plus model, and I use the LE model over at the campus, and they are both
superb in my opinion.
