Dear All; Canadians are not allowed to own or transport handguns except in very special circumstances.
In all the dialogue regarding essentials in the US for railroad photography, no one has mentioned handguns. Is it that rail photographers don't carry them, or that it is such an accepted practice that those contributing to the list assumed all persons venturing out in the country are "packing"?. Railfanning with US friends in Montana and Arizona, I noted that firearms were standard equipment in their vehicles.
