In a message dated 98-02-16 16:12:22 EST, you write: << Having a gun invites trouble >>
Only if you're not prepared to use it for its intended purpose, of which there are two: 1) shooting targets or 2) killing things. Too many people think guns are for feeling tough or safe or scaring bad guys. The above uses are the only things guns should be used for. I don't carry a gun, because I'm not certain I would pull the trigger when I needed to, and that hesitation would probably get me in worse trouble than I was already in. I don't hunt (I used to), because I'm usually taking train pictures during hunting season, but I don't begrudge anyone that does. Wild game is good (most of it anyway) and responsible hunting causes me no heartburn whatsoever. Well, this has nothing to do with railroad photography (professional or amateur), so I'll close and put on my asbestos suit.
