The term 'Serious Photographers Of Railroad Related Subjects' Is meant to
give us an identity and to separate ourselves from the guys on the
newsgroups that think locomotives have steering wheels, and who think a
good picture of a train is one that shows the hood door spacing and door
latches. There are all types of photographers on this list, and most of us
are interested in photography as well as the subject matter, but we are not
a 'cult', nor do we have a distinct stereotype. The 'Serious' part of the
SPORRS acronym is not to be taken too seriously, however this is not your
typical group of 'railfans'.

We are all still learning, and I suppose that we all be doing so for the
duration of our lives.
