Hi Rick:
In the summer I have been to Arnold's Loop. The UP runs a grader over the
dirt road to the loop. Picking the right dirt road is the trick it is not
the road near the tracks but one that drops down and then goes around and
back up to the loop. I also followed the tracks from there to Shafter.I
under stand the Northern Nevada is again operating and inerchanging with
the UP at Shafter. I then followed over the old Switchbacks that have been
replaced by "Hogan Tunnel" and on to Wells NV.
