I agree with Dave's comment about getting tired of seeing a rainbow
of multi-colored units leading BNSF trains. I was shooting just west of
Lindenwood Yard (Cuba Sub, here in St. Louis) this afternoon and saw
damn near every paint scheme in the yard. You know its bad when there
is more continuity in the following freight cars than in the power
pulling the train. It reminds me of the pictures of Amtrak's early days
with a passenger cars and engines from every Class One's ex-passenger
sets. I don't think they'll get serious about settling on one scheme
until they merge with an eastern carrier.
