It appears that all Kodachrome mailers are going to
Fairlawn, NJ. I received a new supply of mailers about a
month ago and they were all pre addressed to Fairlawn. They
don't give you the option of sending them any place else any
more.

I have always used Kodak/Kodalux/Qualex/etc. mailers and
have never had one lost or damaged in transit. I used to
send them to San Francisco but then they started coming back
from Dallas so I mailed them direct to Dallas and earlier
this year they all started coming back from Fairlawn.

Their service seems to be very slow. It took me 12 days for
my last two and the two before that were over two weeks
turnaround.

I understand that the new Kodachrome processing machines are
spreading. There is one in suburban Seattle but they won't
accept mailers so I guess the only way to use that lab would
be to go to a local photo store. It might be quicker.

The advantage to mailers as I see it is that you can send
your film out for processing while on the road and don't
have to wait to get back to your local photo store to start
the process. Also, I buy them from B&H photo in NYC and the
price is right.
