Or you can do what I do -- I FedEx my film while on the road
directly to my local camera shop, which has a 24-hour turn-around on
Kodachrome. On week-long trips I FedEx everything I've shot from
Saturday through the following Thursday morning on Thursday afternoon. I
can then go into my camera shop and have all those slides in my hands
Monday afternoon -- less than a day after the trip ended! The rest come
back Tuesday afternoon. If mailers are too slow for you and your camera
shop has a better turn-around time, this could be an option.
