However, one aspect of film recorder output that is worth considering
is the use of title slides for presentations.  A couple of years agao, I
did a slide program on the Poweder River Basin for several different
audiences.

I used Microsoft PowerPoint to make about a dozen text slides with
key facts about the area.  One included a scanned-in map.  All the 
title slides contained a small scanned-in image from one of my photos
in the corner to tie them together.

I copied the PowerPoint presentation to a diskette which I took to a
local service bureau, which produced the film-recorder output slides.
Not cheap, as Dave noted, but text slides added a nice touch to the
presentations.
