Actually, I think there is some communication here. What we have is a
failure to agree, but that doesn't really hurt anything.

You attributed this to the Smothers Brothers but it from Cool hand
Luke. But Scott has the point correct. There are times when this page
has shown a few rough edges but I think it's done in good humor (for the
most part). The sad part is the subscribers tend to get more involved
in the conversation if it's dialed up a notch. I hope we all understand
that we're all going to shot with what we want and what we want and Dave
will still sleep nights if we all decide to shot K64 and eat cheeze
doodles just to spite him.

So now are you going to tell me I have to spend a day in the box (at
high
sun, no less) if I don't get my mind right???? <vbg>

Another good quote and I'll presume and one that fits better than
you might have thought. Your referencing the predicament that Col
Nicholson found himself in during the movie/book Bridge Over the River
Kwai. I'm sure you considered the steam railroad conection when you
crafted your analogy.

The best discussions since I started to subscribe to this site
usually pitted two or three members against each other. The film choice
was a classic debate that didn't have wrong answer. However it's
possible for two members to have the same opinion on what's Kodak vs
Fuji debate, but one might have used faulty logic to get there. A
veteran, experienced, and published photographer may know Kodak so well
that he can work around it chemistry and still get good results. Like
Dave and other have said in the past - do what works for you. However
I've also suspect that there's been a few young inexperienced
railfan/picture takers that don't yet have a film mastered, have never
shot anything but Kodak and refuse to try anything new. In their case
it's not that they've mastered the film but have just fallen in a rut
and won't think of other possibilities.
If nothing else you ought to think of this forum as an opportunity
to learn something and possibly get out of the wedgie or roster rut.
