Ok SPORRS members, here is a real question. Have any of you ever used a Staticmaster brush, especially for dusting slides or negatives? And if so, what were the results? Here is why I am asking. I have never used one and I'm not planning to. However, a friend of mine is considering one for removing dust from the clear plastic covering his instrument panel in his new truck. His previous efforts on dust removal from this material has always resulted in scratches because the plastic material is soft compared to the dust particles. I'm familiar with Polonium and several of its isotopes and understand the principle behind the design of the brushes. One thing that does surprise me is that the tree-hugging environmentalists haven't had these gadgets removed from public use.....ah, but that isn't the point here. Any insight to experiences, especially scratches or the lack thereof, would be greatly appreciated. John C.
