Standard procedure is one camera, 28mm, 560mm, 135mm, and 200mm lenses.
Backup camera with a 35-70 zoom. Lenses are interchangeable for both
cameras. Works for me.

As John and Dave Busse say, always have at least one backup camera. I take to
everywhere. There are lots of reasons why you should have more than one body
and it's not always camera failure. If the weather (or light ) changes it's
nice to be able to grab another body with faster film and keep going.

I carry lenes from 24 to 300mm and 2 bodys anytime I'm trackside. I know that
seems like a lot, but I haven't got any of those newer zooms that have the
great optics, or the newer camera to put them on. I use Minolta X-700's.
When I wear them out I'll have to figure out what to buy.
