Dave,

What do you align the grid to? The horizon? Poles? Signals? Just curious. 
After all, grid screens were designed mostly for copy work.

I'll be honest, I get a few more crooked shots than I like, but I find it 
tends to be more a problem of me drifting slightly once I start exposing. 
That's why I try to use a tripod for almost everything over 100mm. I can 
get the shot lined up right ... I just can't hold still. That's why Mr. 
Bogen and I are such good friends.
