Hi, One of the last bytes holding us on drupal 5 is the copyright module (the one that handles licenses). The module has not yet been ported to drupal 6.
There is some work being done: http://drupal.org/node/222729 Maybe somebody in this list has the knowledge to do something about (I clearly do not). Anyway, the more I think about it, the more it seems obvious that the SpreadUbuntu drupal 6 move will have to be deferred to Karmic+1 and that we should focus on the site we have now for the Karmic cycle (go all the way with Drupal 5) There is a lot of expectations to our project and we should not let people down. People, specially in LoCos, are actually taking thesite in use for production. There's even talk about using the site to translate the material that's to be used as part of the conference packs! I, for one, would like to explore Evan's idea for teams in the site. Even if it means Drupal 6. We could evolve both things at the same time. And anyway, we have to get the basic features for the Site part before Karmic, so we have both that AND the DIY repository that has been in focus until now. So instead of drawing big plans for drupal 6 move, can we agree on deferring it to Karmic+1 and get a working SpreadUbuntu Site+DIY repository by the end of September? Would love to hear your thoughts. Regards, Rubén Romero. https://launchpad.net/~huayra
