So there are two options: - add minor extensions to IPv6 dataplane which can provide control and encapsulation in a very smooth and gradual way for a number of applications - rework, implement and deploy entire load of MPLS control plane to support IPv6 bearing in mind that MPLS does not have real NNI so at best it's applicability is limited to closed domains under same administration At least to me the above choice is clear.
