Yeah, no argument here. Obviously something was lacking in this instance. Plus there's always that "media interpretation" factor we have to consider.

Hi Craig, There are times when fire protection systems are required to be active during construction, for example standpipes as a building rises. The term "fully functional" and "under construction" contradict one another. "Partially functional" perhaps. Ask yourself this simple question; Would the system pass if this were an final acceptance inspection for Certificate of Occupancy ?. If you can answer yes to that question then the system is deemed "fully functional", if no then its not and the building shall not be occupied. Certificates of Occupancy are actual "living" documents requiring that the applicable requirements of the certificate for the building be maintained for the life of the building. Hope that helps John Drucker Fire Protection Subcode Official (AHJ) New Jersey _______________________________________________ Sprinklerforum mailing list [email protected] http://lists.firesprinkler.org/mailman/listinfo/sprinklerforum To Unsubscribe, send an email to:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (Put the word unsubscribe in the subject field) _______________________________________________ Sprinklerforum mailing list [email protected] http://lists.firesprinkler.org/mailman/listinfo/sprinklerforum To Unsubscribe, send an email to:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (Put the word unsubscribe in the subject field) _______________________________________________ Sprinklerforum mailing list [email protected] http://lists.firesprinkler.org/mailman/listinfo/sprinklerforum To Unsubscribe, send an email to:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (Put the word unsubscribe in the subject field) _______________________________________________ Sprinklerforum mailing list [email protected] http://lists.firesprinkler.org/mailman/listinfo/sprinklerforum To Unsubscribe, send an email to:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (Put the word unsubscribe in the subject field)
