Two concerns: Dilution of the already minimally used CHAT Employees on Myspace during work, tend to wander.
Heck, there's been this entire national trade association that, until some recent interaction the past couple years, has done very well for like 100 years without me. BTW, since this is the time of year, I'd appreciate if users of this FORUM would consider- if not already members- either membership or consider it share ware and send a check (hey, maybe paypal) to AFSA for whatever you think its been worth to you. The afsa is a nonprofit trade association dedicated to, amongst other things, the education of those involved in this industry, and industry promotion and improvement. It's a good way to thank those who help the industry that puts food on your table, and I doubt the AFSA would not deposit checks for $25 or 50 or $100. We're on the cusp of joining our 2nd association, NFSA, simply to recognize and support their industry promotion and take advantage of their ed opportunities- as matter of fact, our trainee is already in their 2 yr certif. program. Despite us being non-members, they are coming to talk about our mutual interest in applying ammo to the senate overseers of our building code. Not "gee, if you'd join we could work together", whatsoever. glc -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Todd Williams - work Sent: Tuesday, August 14, 2007 11:55 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: sprinkler groupX CHAT George, I'm also the other side of 50 (just), but I applaud Karen's effort. I'm also a subscriber to Sprinkler Chat, but that is a venue that has not taken off and I have gotten few, if any, responses to my inquiries. Maybe this will work. The next generation of designers/contractors/FPEs/AHJs/NFPA execs are going to be coming from the MySpace generation. We're going to have to allow for them just as our parents had to allow for us. There are other Forums that have peacefully coexisted with this, so I don't see this as a threat, just an expansion of discussion. field) _______________________________________________ Sprinklerforum mailing list [email protected] http://lists.firesprinkler.org/mailman/listinfo/sprinklerforum To Unsubscribe, send an email to:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (Put the word unsubscribe in the subject field)
