Okay, here we go again.   Can someone tell me what is so technically
challenging about testing a hydrant?   Pick two hydrants, verify that
they're both connected to the same main that supplies the sprinkler
system you're presumably designing, open and close the valves slowly,
don't slam your gauges and remember to remove your sunglasses before
bending over the stream if you're using a pitot.   

Here in sunny SoCal, where the government hasn't found an activity that
they don't want to regulate, we now have to observe storm drain
pollution prevention BMP's.  So the most challenging thing for us lately
is to satisfy the run-off Nazis by dechlorinating the stream or
filtering run-off before it goes downstream.
