Can any of the current or former fire fighters on the forum give insight to how often the FDC becomes the sole water supply on a sprinkler system? I'm imagining scenarios where a control valve is closed, a water main is out-of-service, etc. I'm not asking about manual standpipes, that's a completely different animal (in regards to the function of the FDC).
