To all, To clarify, I did misspeak with regard to the word "balance". Per 13(2002) A14.4.4.6 the head in the exhaust duct can be a different K-factor and is not considered balancing, the coverage area is simply considerably smaller those of the other heads in the booth. That being said, a 2.8K head equalizes my calcs better than a 5.6K head does. Can I use one that small? The top of this stack happens to be 10' above the top of the roof level. The stack comes vertically out the top of the cavity behind the filters. Is this head required to be just below the rain guard above stack? I don't see how a head placed anywhere else will ever actuate...unless a deluge system is used.
Thank you all for the input.
