Ryan, take a look as section 8.3.4.1 ('02 and '07). The commentary in the
handbook says sprinklers with a K less than 5.6 can only be used in light
hazards, but the text in 8.3.4.1 doesn't clearly say that. It simply says
small orifice sprinklers are allowed in light hazards under certain
conditions, but DOESN'T say they aren't allowed in ordinary & extra hazards.
Seems to me the intent is that they only be used in light hazards. That
section could use some rewording.
