They generally require arbitrarily doubled design areas, so out here it's an 8-sprinkler design area - corridor or dwelling unit using residential sprinklers - or .10/3000 sf and it's up to the FPE doing the review whether or not you can observe a dwelling unit as a "largest room" design area; hose stream of 100 GPM is required for residential and 250 for light hazard (500 for ordinary); FDC is required. AND, if it's a multi-story building then floor controls are required and if sprinklers are combined with standpipes then they must be looped, but calculations performed only on the more demanding straight path.
