Rich, I had a similar problem at Crater Lake National Park.  Had a guy stand
under a sprinkler with his arm pointing at the sprinkler.  Then took
pictures at various distances perpendicular to the baffles,  with the camera
pointed at where the sprinkler was.  Of course you couldn't see the
sprinkler on any but the closest picture to the sprinkler.  It had to be
called an obstruction.
