After some research as to why all the uprights were removed from the
branchlines over the top of gas fired kilns I was told the insurance company
told the customer they could be removed. The justification was that if the
heads went off the steam would blow the roof off the building. Has anyone ever
heard of this before? No records of anything with the AHJ's office to assist.
