I'm trying to get some better plans of the whole thing. FP plans are sketchy.
The plan is for the local FD to attach a pumper truck to the standpipe system when needed and pull from local on-shore hydrant for source. All the local FD wants at the remote connection is 250 gpm at 100 psi, so no great demand. If it is and it's on a lake you can do a double swing joint (one on the horizontal plane and the other on the vertical plane) at the shore and at the pier and you should have enough movement sans tide but it will probably leak at those points over time. No big deal on a dry standpipe as you just crank the engine pump up. If you have tide Metraflex might be the only solution. If you're on the Bay of Fundy you may need a couple of break tanks and a pump on the pier. You can always just "pour" the one tank into the other.
