I have never seen it in NFPA, but our local building code has a sort of
reference that you shall "protect pipes where subject to damage" There is
also guidelines as to where a framing member may or may not be drilled in
our local building codes.

Subject: CPVC and Nail plates

Does anyone know if nail plates are required by code for CPVC pipe?
We do it as a safeguard but I had a salesmen ask me and I could not find
it in NFPA.
Thanks,
Dewayne
