I usually end up calculating 4 sprinklers in the hall since that becomes the largest room. What do others do?

For various reasons we were actually reading it today and notice that there does not appear to be a minimum number of heads to calc, just calc. how many heads are in a compartment. We have an apartment whose units have 1 head per compartment, is it acceptable to do a 1 head calc for 13R?
