I would run it by the AHJ, personally if it's a straight shot down to the
garbage room, I don't see a need for any other sprinkler heads, however
there is a chance that debris could get hung up on the shaft itself
depending on the interior construction, if smooth then no spkrs if sheet
metal protrudes then every other level, and they'd have to fab a cover so
trash doesn't get hung up on the sprinkler head.
