Top, Good point about the black eye issue. There are plenty of industries that started out with common methods to achieve goals that were not the best but may have been the only way to meet a goal until some new technology came along, were unknown hazards until a problem arose, etc. The three approaches are to pretend there is no issue, to over-react and fix the problem with an equally bad or worse "solution," or to assess the problem fully and start measures that will correct the real issue in a proper and timely manner.
