Subject: 2010 NFPA 13 8.6.5.2.1.5 Can anyone shed some light on this section? It seems to contradict section 8.6.5.1.2 option 2. Does the size of the obstruction not matter? I have a convention center with 55-inch diameter lights that are 2-feet deep. The sprinkler contactor is using the referenced section to avoid dropping a head inside the light to cover below it (as it is built, we can pipe though the fixture and use a concealed head).
