Is the FDC connected to pump suction? If its not, and the pump is producing 150 PSI discharge, and the FD hits the FDC with 150 (connected to the discharge side of the fire pump), then you have 150 PSI, not 300, going to the system.
You can graph the combination of dissimilar supplies by graphing both and adding the flows at same pressures. Safe to assume the large Fed entity has an FPE as EOR? Cause the FDC isn't exactly an "automatic" water supply, so the ice is thin, even if its up by the FroBros. George Church Rowe Sprinkler Systems, Inc. The owner wants to classify the system as MANUAL and utilize a FD to feed the system but leave the fire pump connected. The system still does not work when using only the FDC feeding the system due to the fact that the FD only plans to utilize 2 each 2-1/2" hose to connect to the FDC. The owner - a large Federal Entity - wants to make this a HYBRID system utilizing the Fire Pump and the FDC combined. I can't find a correct way to do this...thoughts?
