Two separate standpipe risers often prove most cost effective. Intermediate
landings for hose valves appear to be sound engineering and a good idea, but
presents problems routing lines to the floor control valve locations needed
at main landings.

Subject: Riser Location for combined stand pipe

Every time I have a combination stand pipe / system riser there is an
awkward transition between the intermediate landing and the floor above.
What type of arrangements are others of you using to make this transition
smoother? Any suggestions and direction is welcome.
