I agree with Ken, when we do in racks systems they have a separate control valve at the riser - best practice. However I believe he is asking the following (this is an example): If you have two overhead systems 40,000ft ۛ² each and you have two 40,000ft ۛ² in rack systems, one under each overhead system, can you feed rack system number one from the main from overhead system number two and vice versa? I believe you could do this since you wouldn't be cutting off the in racks and overhead system in the same area. If you cut off overhead system number one you would be cutting off the inracks under number two at the same time.
Is this practical or best way to do this, I say not but acceptable - I feel it would be. Someone may want a control valve and drain valve to the rack system after the split so if you needed to work on the rack system alone you could.
