Is there any straightforward method to calculate a section modulus necessary to
install a cantilevered hanger? IE we'd be hanging unistrut from either side of
a beam and then extending out away from the beam with a "dead end" piece of
strut to hang our pipe. The issue is that trapezing this pipe requires
extensive scaffolding as the next beam is over top of high voltage electrical
distribution equipment that we can't work above. I get the feeling this is a
job for a PE but I'm open to suggestions.
