I got a call the other day form a local company that bought a cold dark shell
approximately 4 years ago and has been using part of it as a storage warehouse
for miscellaneous items similar to what you would find at any store checkout
counter. Lighters, aspirin, pens, various odds and ends, and they are stored on
racks, mostly in cardboard boxes, with the storage as high as 15' in some
areas. The other day the AHJ stopped in and recommended they cut slats in the
wooden shelving to allow the overhead system to reach the bottom shelves. At
first I thought this might work but turns out the overhead system was only
designed for AH-2 using standard 5.6k heads so now it looks like they're gonna
definitely need rack protection. Any advice or potential problems anyone can
see?
