Then you have to deal with someone who cites Section 22.4.4.7 (9) which states that the fitting that is attached to the sprinkler head shall be excluded from the hydraulics. Would you not include a 1/2" extension in the calcs? There was one yahoo out in this area who tried to use that section to exclude Flexheads from the calcs since a Flexhead is a fitting.
