Years ago in the USSR, workers were waiting for a train to pull into the station. The workers were to load wheat onto the train, it was from the country's collective harvest and would be used for winter meals.
The train arrived, and it was a flatbed. The workers loaded the wheat and the train left. The wheat of course was all blown off of the train by the next stop. Nobody dared to question the orders. Nobody dared to think. You replaced 20 sprinklers for a customer. The customer is the OWNER of the system. He owns the sprinkler heads. Yet the government official needs his job so I suppose he either is generous to you and he accepts the letter from the manufacturer and a $20 Starbucks gift card or you send your guys out to replace them Sent from my iPhone On Aug 2, 2013, at 3:58 PM, Larry Keeping <[email protected]> wrote: > This seems too obvious, but have you looked at the commentary text in the > Sprinkler Systems Handbook that follows A.3.6.47? > > It starts out "A quick response (QR) sprinkler is similar to a standard spray > sprinkler, except that it possess a fast-response operating element ..." > > Larry Keeping, P.Eng. > > Professional Loss Control > 3413 Wolfedale Road, Suite 6 > Mississauga, Ontario > L5C 1V8 > > Phone: 905-949-2755, ext. 204 > Fax: 905-949-1752 > > E-mail: [email protected] > > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] > [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Greg > McGahan > Sent: August-02-13 3:33 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: SR vs QR > > Actually Chris, this is one fo the good guys who usually is open to proof > without going to this extent.
