I think that this was installed in the 40s. The main sizes looked
a little strange, but at that distance and at my age I think I'll just error
on the side of caution and figure the calcs on a schedule main.

Now, about that C factor.....

Considering Extra Hazard only allows 1 sprinkler on 1" pipe, that doesn't leave much
room for 3/4". Most of my work is AD, but I have seen some stuff from the time of

Yeah, old. I thought that there was an extra hazard schedule that I referenced
once for a remod that included 3/4 pipe and had reduced large sizes.
Apparantly not too many online that did work in the old testament!

That's an old one. 3/4 - one head 1"- two heads 1-1/4"- 3 heads 1-1/2"-5 heads 2"- 7 heads.
From memory. In the old textile mills in New England FM had a program where the 3/4" was replaced with
1". Removed the 1x3/4x1/2 tee replaced it with 1x1x1/2 and replaced the 3/4" length of pipe keeping the
same spacing. Did thousands of them in the 70's.

Hi Forum (and Happy New Year!)

Does anyone have a pipe schedule that ends
with ¾" pipe, and includes all the big pipe?

Sure would appreciate it!
