Ed,
good points we've kicked around as well.  This chamber is only 250F, but the 80 
psi is more than the available supply.  Boom is not good unless it's the 4th of 
July or New Years.

Just some things to think about:


Sprinklering the chamber could have the potential of doing more harm than
good

Fire behaves differently at 80 psi

Sprinkler water pressure would have to be much higher than 80 psi

Chamber temperature could be as high as 500 Degrees F, depending on
vulcanizing process

Steam generated by heated sprinkler discharge (into 500 degree environment
could reach 650 Degrees F. Chamber could go boom. Of course the high steam
pressure would stop sprinkler discharge

Decisions on conditions like this are above my pay grade.
