The State of Connecticut adopted a new fire safety code last October. The use the 2010 edition of NFPA 13. A question came up from a client regarding antifreeze. After researching and email discussions with the State Fire Marshal's Office, I found out that CT still allows antifreeze systems to be installed based on the old requirements. Most jurisdictions that I am aware of have either adopted 2013 or 2016, or have amended their Codes to prevent new antifreeze system until a listed solution arrives. How many other jurisdictions still allow these systems based on the old requirements?
