I don't know if this is applicable or not, but given that, in my humble
opinion, Spyder is one of the best python IDEs for scientific work, it
would be great if we could apply to GSoC for this year. Of course, I
don't know if this is possible and/or if Pierre would like to do it. I
have a lot of ideas to improve the object inspector and we could also
try to incorporate the new and shiny ipython 0.11.
The deadline is March 11th. What do you think Pierre?
